Mars scientists are among the speakers at a conference later this month in Brussels to discuss breakthroughs linking cocoa flavanols to cardiovascular health.
Catherine Kwik-Uribe and Hagen Schroeter will present their research at the ‘International Workshop on Flavanols in Cardiovascular Health’ due to take place In Brussels, Belgium, on 24 January.
The conference forms part of Project Flaviola , a pan-European research project aiming to uncover the effect of flavanol-containing foods on cardiovascular function.
The project is funded under the seventh framework programme of the European Commission and brings together industry players, doctors and food scientists.
