Lake Champlain Chocolates, Alter Eco and Ripple Brands have all announced products that will carry Fair Trade USA certification labels.
San Francisco-based chocolatier Alert Eco has introduced organic truffles with coconut oil which uses 97% Fair Trade ingredients. It sources milk powder and butter locally, so uses the lesser Fair Trade USA Ingredients logo,
Lake Champlain Chocolates has converted all of its hot cocoa products to Fair Trade Certified, while Barefoot and Chocolate has launched a line of Fair Trade Certified chocolate spreads.
The Ripple Brand Collective also launched its first Fair Trade Certified product, Bark Thins, a snacking chocolate brand that comes in stand up pouches.
