“Australian and New Zealand manufacturers of Easter eggs are reporting good sales, especially compared to last year,” said Trish Hyde, CEO of the CMA.
“In 2008 Easter was much earlier and it was still very hot, so sales were down a little. This year the weather is easing and things are looking much better, with sales returning to 2007 levels.”
According to the association, one third of Australian spend up to AUS$100 on the eggs.
