‘Matière Chocolat’ by Stéphane Leroux is a collection of chocolate sculptures such as a rose and a mahogany plank. An accompanying book explains how these pieces of art were achieved.
In ‘Cacao, the Roots of Chocolate’, Bruges chocolatier Dominique Persoone traces the history of chocolate during an expedition to Mexico.
Both books are co-authored and photographed by Jean-Pierre Gabriel.
The books premiered last week at Salon du Chocolat in Paris and were launched in Belgium yesterday.
