Cémoi CEO to lead CAOBISCO

Patrick Poirrier, CEO of French chocolatier Cémoi

The Association of Chocolate, Biscuits and Confectionery Industries of Europe (CAOBISCO) has elected Patrick Poirrier, CEO of French chocolatier Cémoi, as its new president.

He succeeds Katjes Fassin Tobias Bachmüller for a two-year mandate.

Poirrier is the third-generation to head family company Cémoi. He started at the company by creating and heading the Cémoi’s Côte d'Ivoire subsidiary in 1996 and later became CEO of the group in 2005.

Poirrier is also president of the raw materials committee and vice president of the chocolate sector at French trade association Alliance 7.

Bachmüller now becomes CAOBISCO joint vice president with Alessandro Cagli, director European affairs, at Ferrero. Cagli will become president in 2016.
