The new sweetener aims to tap into consumer demand natural products, as well as for low-calorie sweeteners that can be used in a similar way to sugar. The company already sells Sun Crystals all-natural sweetener packets, but its new granulated blend is designed to have “the familiar texture of sugar”, the company said.
Worldwide president of McNeil Nutritionals Debra Sandler said: “This revolutionary sweetener can help people reduce their intake of calories and carbohydrates from sugar and still satisfy their sweet tooth.”
