Argentinean confectioner Arcor has introduced new sustainable packaging for its Bon o Bon brand.

The product now uses a Biaxially-Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) film making it free from polyvinyl chloride known as PVC and aluminum.

The company said in a translated statement “This significantly reduces the material consumption per unit involved, and the technique of cold seal applied allows a better conservation of the product.”

“On a visual level, the paper has more shine, is stiffer and achieves greater visibility of the logo, which makes the package more modern and dynamic.”

The packaging was developed with Arcor’s R&D team and Italian flexible packaging firm Converflex.
