Placon expands food container range
Placon has expanded its range of food packaging available with up to 100% post-consumer recycled content.
Fresh’n Clear divided bowls are available in black or clear recycled PET as a 32oz bowl with three compartments and center cup, or as a 48oz container with four compartments and center cup.
They are made with recycled material consisting of post-consumer bottles and thermoforms that have been diverted from landfills.
Placon said the polyethylene terephthalate (PET) packaging is suitable for cut fruits, vegetables, dips, nuts, candy and cheese cubes.
The multi-compartment bowls feature Placon’s unique “scround” design (square-round) and feature secure, leak-resistant 360 degree seals with lid and base tabs offset from the corners for easy access.
The containers will be on display at Placon’s booth E-8315 at Pack Expo 2012 in Chicago, USA.
