River Rocks’ yellow, pink and green decorative stones, manufactured in China, were found not to comply with Directive 87/357/EEC on products which, appearing to be other than they are, endanger the health or safety of consumers following an application from notifying country Bulgaria.
“The product poses a risk of choking because the decorative stones are similar to sweet or pieces of maize that it could be confused with real sweets or corns and swallowed by children,” said the Commission.
The product will be withdrawn from the market and the company is obligated to inform consumers against the risks posed by the product.
