Scandinavian confectioner Cloetta has named its next CEO and president, who says the company will explore acquisitions to boost organic growth.

Dutch national Henri de Sauvage Nolting, formerly executive vice president of Arla in Sweden, Denmark and Finland, will take up the role from February 15, 2017.

‘Potential acquisitions’

“Cloetta stands strong and my ambition is to drive the development of Cloetta through continued organic growth, as well as through cost-efficiencies and new initiatives including potential acquisitions,” he said.

Cloetta has been searching for a new CEO and president since David Nuutinen announced he would leave the role for “private reasons” in August after just a year in the position.

Operations chief to leave

Cloetta also announced today its president of operations and member of Cloetta Group Management Jacqueline Hoogerbrugge will leave the company before summer 2017.

Cloetta said Hoogerbrugge had been looking to leave since the summer this year. The company is recruiting for her successor.
