Peeps maker Just Born Quality Confections has hired Rachel Hayden as its new vice president and chief information officer.

Hayden previously worked as a senior director of IT at Berry Plastics, responsible for global business systems. Prior to Berry Plastics, she worked for software company Fujitsu America where she provided consulting to Coca-Cola, as well as working as an application development manager for PepsiCo, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Hayden will be responsible for defining, planning and implementing all information technology and communications activities required to support the business plans of Just Born, the candy company said.

Commenting on Hayden’s new position, Just Born’s president and chief operating officer David Yale said, “Rachel brings a wealth of experience and an impressive track record of success to her new role… We look to her to drive IT’s mission of fostering collaborative relationships, sustaining effective customer service and contributing to the company’s achievement of overall 2017 goals and milestones.”

Just Born is currently worth $220.8m in annual sales and posted a 0.92% dollar sales increase year-over-year, according to the most recent IRI data ending Oct 2, 2016.

The company also plans on outgrowing the US candy market by 3-5% next year, this site previously reported from the NACS Show recently in Atlanta, Georgia.
