Final figures show that ProSweets had around 17,000 visitors up 5% from last year. However, the number of exhibitors remained stable at 325 companies from 30 countries.
Some exhibitors told ConfectioneryNews.com that the exhibition space was “too expensive” and some supporting conference programmes reported a drop in participants.
Nonetheless, the international feel of the show is growing. Over 60% of the exhibitors came from outside Germany. A show survey also showed that more than two-thirds of the respondents are also involved in purchasing and procurement decisions.
