P P Payne has produced a printed tear tape featuring the Happy Tooth symbol. The Happy Tooth logo, created by TSI, is licensed to its members for use on the packaging and advertising of products proven to be tooth friendly by a standard scientific test.
The tape is designed to help confectionery manufacturers to communicate a tooth friendly message for increased product differentiation.
"P P Payne's position as the world market leader in tear tape makes it an ideal partner in helping Toothfriendly Sweets International (TSI) to maintain the global recognition that the Happy Tooth symbol enjoys," said a company spokesperson.
The new tear tape from P P Payne, approved by the TSI, is being supplied to confectionery manufacturers who are licensees of TSI and are therefore entitled to include the Happy Tooth logo in their product promotion. The tear tape, positioned around the pack, features multiple Happy Tooth logos printed in white on a red background for high visibility.
Although licensees are required to print the symbol directly onto the packaging it is often positioned in the corner. The new tape has been designed to provide increased on-shelf visibility, giving prominence to the Happy Tooth.
P P Payne claims it is able to supply its specially designed application systems for fast, reliable dispensing. The company also believes that the tape can be retrofitted to most types of wrappers available.
