One Shot, the UK ice cream dispensing company, has launched a new
type of container for Solmia ice cream.

The new container has a circular extrusion hole which means that balls of ice cream can be produced without the use of a traditional scoop. The system provides a 165ml or 250 ml portion of ice cream.

The company claims that the key to the product is a patented cup and lid hole. One Shot is a specialist in ice cream dispensing for retailers. The company has strong business activity in Holland, France and in Greece. Since One Shot won a contract to dispense Uniliever's Cornetto soft ice cream the company's presence in Europe has increased, it claims.

Traditionally the company has been involved with producing dispensing equipment to retailers. Recent study has shown that innovation has been driving the dairy sector, and it appears that on the packaging side of the industry the same may be evident.
