PureCircle signs new stevia deal

- Last updated on GMT

PureCircle last week signed a new deal with Cooperativa Colonias Unidas in Paraguay signed a contract for the production and supply of stevia leaves, expanding the crop area of 25 hectares.

Some 30 partners of the cooperative are involved in the agreement, and plans are afoot to expand the crop coverage even further in the coming years, as demand for stevia sweeteners increases. Regulatory access to large markets like the US, France, Australia, Switzerland and Mexico mean more manufacturers are contemplating use of the zero-calorie natural sweetener.
