Two new cake slice variants will be launched on December 23 – Digestive Slice and GingerNut Slice – as United Biscuits looks to gain a deeper hold of the £128m ($205.9m) UK cake slices segment.
David Fowler, marketing controller at McVitie’s Cake Company said: “It is clear that the ‘Biscuit Slices’ niche is growing in popularity, so we’re confident that the McVitie’s Digestives Slices and McVitie’s GingerNuts Slices will help fuel category growth and sales for retailers.”
