go ahead! gets a green light
United Biscuits will extend its Chocolate Thins and Crispy Fruit Slices go ahead! ranges in a bid to capitalize on the growing demand for healthier biscuits.
A Forest Fruit variant will be added to the £3m ($4.82m) Chocolate Thin brand and a strawberry flavored Crispy Fruit Slice will be launched as this brand records an 11% yearly growth.
Both range extensions will be launched in January.
Jon Eggleton said: “Healthier eating has moved on from the days of dieting and guilt to responsible enjoyment and go ahead! has responses to this with the introduction of NPD such as go ahead! Chocolate Thins. We’re confident that we have the right ranges and marketing support to growth the brand and ultimately sales and profits for retailers.”
