Country singer's chicken snacks hit high note
Dwight Yoakam partnered with Bakersfield Biscuits (a Modern Foods company) in 2003 to introduce his Chicken Fries. Aimed at budget-conscious consumers, the frozen goods were found in convenience stores, dollar marts and other low-end retailers. Since then, the brand has added new products and flavors and is now distributed in Walmart Supercenters.
