Pet-care division head chosen to lead Mars Chocolate

Flatin will take the post that was vacated by Grant F. Reid, who was recently named president of Mars Incorporated. Reid was appointed after the incumbent, Paul Michaels, announced his retirement.
Flatin currently serves as global president of Royal Canin, a unit of Mars Petcare. He will become president of Global Chocolate at Mars and take charge of a division with brands such as M&M’s, Dove and Snickers, from 1 October.
He has worked for Mars for the past 22 years and became president of Royal Canin in late 2007.
Mars also recently appointed Tracey Massey, former chief financial officer for Mars Global Chocolate, as Mars Chocolate North America President. She took the role from Debra Sandler who moved into a newly created role as chief health and wellness officer for the global company.
