RPC Bebo has partnered with German tool producer Marbacha to develop a thermoformed screw closure system for on-the-go snacks such as ice cream, snacks and sweets.

The closure system called Turner comprises a cup, lid and lidding film, which is sealed on a cup’s seal flange to cover the lid’s entire surface.

Consumers can open the packaging by peeling back the lidding film and turning the lid in a 45° counter-clockwise rotation. Benefits include easy-opening and reclosing.

RPC Bebo said customers can choose from a range of decoration technologies for branding and on-shelf appeal, including high definition printing, labelling, In-Mold Label Thermoforming (IML-T) and RPC Bebo’s patented Bebo Print for edge-to-edge coverage.

It added the packaging is suitable for car cup holders and because of the lightweight design, on-the-go lifestyles.
