Godiva Chocolatier has named Phil Crawford as its chief technology officer, from immediate effect.

Crawford, who has 15 years of information technology experience and a focus in the hospitality and restaurant industries, will be responsible for leading the chocolate company’s integrated technology and digital innovation efforts.

Annie Young-Scrivner, CEO of Godiva, said Crawford most recently served as head of technology at Shake Shack where he led the digital and technology efforts behind the customer experience, and helped take the restaurant chain public in 2015.

He will also join Godiva’s global executive committee, according to Young-Scrivner.

“We are thrilled to have Phil join our executive team… He brings strong leadership experience in modernizing and building technology stacks for a robust, global footprint. With Phil on our team, we’ll be able to have more meaningful digital connections with our customers,” said Young-Scrivner.
