1. Barry Callebaut publishes latest Forever Chocolate Progress Report

5. Belgium joins countries calling on the European Commission to act on deforestation

For some reason, Belgium has resisted joining the initiative, despite being the second biggest exporter of chocolate in the world. With another voice added to the debate there are hopes that the EC will propose a due diligence regulation for the cocoa sector and link between human rights violations and deforestation. A move that attracted widespread interest across our social media channels.
