Raw Halo vegan chocolate rebrands into plastic-free packaging and NPD

2019 also sees the launch of a partnership with One Tree Planted where Raw Halo will plant one tree in Peru or Indonesia for every 50 bars sold, with a view to planting more than 20,000 trees over the next12 months. 

Jewel toned packaging

The rebrand was developed in partnership with B&B Studio which created the pastel and jewel toned packaging, featuring a bold, large-format logo centered around a halo shape. 

Inside the thick paper envelope, the chocolate is cloaked in inviting, bespoke gold foil wrappers for a luxury feel. 

Founded in 2015 by Meg Haggar and Jonathan Chapman, the range is now available in seven Dark and three Mylk varieties in 22g, 35g and 70g bars.  

Haggar said it sources its ingredients from small, organic farms that trade their product for a fair price and it produces the chocolate in partnership with a chocolate factory run by a social enterprise.  

“Our chocolate is designed to be better in every sense, for you and the planet. We’ve created a luxury chocolate bar that’s healthier, more natural and better quality, making better-made and better-for-you the new benchmark for premium chocolate,” ​she said. 

Caramel notes

The company uses blends of organic plant-based ingredients, including single-origin cacao and coconut sugar with caramel notes.  

Raw Halo’s cacao beans aren’t roasted but made through careful temperature control and the raw cacao is minimally processed to retain the nutrients and flavor of the original cacao beans.  

The latest addition to the range is 85% Dark Chocolate; Dark & Raspberry and Dark & Himalayan Pink Salt as well as Mylk & Vanilla, Dark & Mint and Mylk & Salted Caramel.
