The UK’s super-premium chocolate brand has launched its Innovations Collection, a dairy-free chocolate alternative with five exotic varietals added to its plant-based range of volcanic chocolate including a gluten-free oat milk bar.
The collection is an extension to Firetree’s supremely smooth core range of great tasting rich volcanic chocolate, and will see five new varietals to choose from, including a melt-in-the-mouth gluten-free oat milk bar. The alternative KitKat combines crisp wafer and smooth chocolate blended with a rice-based milk alternative for fans to enjoy ‘a plant-based break’. The bar was developed by chocolatiers and food scientists in Nestlé’s Research and Development centre in York, the original home of KitKat.
KitKat V (RRP £1) is certified vegan by the Vegan Society. Like the rest of the KitKat range, it is made using 100% certified sustainable cocoa, sourced through the Nestlé Cocoa Plan in conjunction with the Rainforest Alliance.
Since its launch in March, H!P has proved a hit with vegans and flexitarians across the UK with nearly half a million bars sold to date.
H!P’s founder is James Cadbury - also the founder of the ethical, luxury chocolate brand, Love Cocoa, and the great-great-great-grandson of the original Mr Cadbury.
The H!P range is handmade blending sustainably-sourced single-origin Colombian cocoa with creamy oat milk. Each bar has approximately 30% less sugar than the average high street dairy milk chocolate bar as well as more cocoa.

The Swiss chocolatier has launched a selection of vegan milk chocolate bars using an oat-based alternative. The new bars are part of Lindt’s HELLO range and are wrapped in recyclable packaging and are available in three different flavours — Hazelnut, Salted Caramel, and Cookie — with each 100-gram bar on sale in Europe for €2.99.
