An Industry-First Keeps Kraft’s Chocolate Hearts in the Right Place

There is more to x-ray inspection than just the detection of contaminants.

X-ray technology can identify foreign bodies like glass, metal and mineral stone, and simultaneously check for product faults, from broken or missing confectionery in the final packaging to compromised seals - ensuring product safety and quality.

Kraft asked METTLER TOLEDO SAFELINE to suggest ways of monitoring product alignment and tray seals. When developing the x-ray system METTLER TOLEDO SAFELINE created an industry first - a split beam x-ray system that automatically checks and rejects for two entirely different production line problems.
