Ferrero names internal candidate as next CEO
Ferrero has appointed a CEO to take over duties from Giovanni Ferrero, who will become executive chairman.
Lapo Civiletti – currently Ferrero's managing director for Central and Eastern Europe - will become group CEO from September 1 this year.
Third generation family member Giovanni Ferrero will assume the role of his father Michele Ferrero, who died in February last year aged 89.
Ferrero has shaken up its Leadership Team as a result.
The company has appointed current Ferrero SpA president Paolo Fulci as group head of the institutional affairs.
The CEO of Ferrero’s research arm Soremartec, Briano Olivares, has been named group head of strategic R&D.
Current group COO Aldo Uva becomes head of the open innovation, while Marco Borghesi has been appointed as chief strategy officer.
