US-based confectioner Yosha! Enterprises is launching a new mint product that it believes will make a significant impact on the breath freshener market.
The product, called Momints, has been developed to challenge the success of the emerging mint strip market. The confection has been in development for over 18 months.
The main selling point of Momints is that they are liquid-filled breath mints encased in a specially designed patent-pending EZ Slide pack. The manufacturer claims that the product is the only liquid filled breath mint currently available on the market.
In addition, Yosha! believes that the slim tapered edge packaging will allow the mints to be easily tucked into the tightest of jeans.
"Anyone who enjoys extremely powerful mint refreshment is an immediate fan," said Anthony Shurman, president of Yosha! Enterprises.
"Consumers appreciate that you can easily tuck the Momints EZ Slide pack into your jeans, or in the cellophane wrapper of a cigarette pack, and have instant access to the country's first liquid-filled breath mint that is also the most visually appealing mint the world has ever seen."
The market for mints and gums in the United States is now worth over $1 billion a year.
