Creo, the Canadian supplier of labelling solutions to the food and beverage industry, will be demonstrating its Networked Graphic Production solution at Labelexpo Europe 2003, taking place in Brussels, Belgium on September 24-27.
From stand 6G120, Creo will be demonstrating how a label job can speed through production more efficiently in a Networked Graphic Production environment. Networked Graphic Production is an industry-wide initiative that integrates people, process and content - from concept to converting.
The company claims that the solution is helping to transform package and label printing into a controlled, digital manufacturing process. Some of the products involved in Networked Graphic Production will be demonstrated live at the show, including the ThermoFlex Narrow CTP device, Prinergy Powerpack and Brisque Pack packaging workflows, Pandora step-and-repeat software, the Synapse InSite Internet portal into prepress and Synapse Link software.
Creo claims that its Networked Graphic Production solution brings creative professionals, packaging print buyers, repro houses and converters together, enabling each participant to communicate and collaborate in real time. By bringing print buyers closer to package production and reducing the manual steps in the process, the aim is that converters will be able to reduce cycle times, minimise errors on press, and deliver quality-printed products faster.
Networked Graphic Production is also aimed at helping businesses run more effectively, thus generating greater profit. When information is readily accessible, the company says, production cycles can shrink dramatically. By integrating the business systems in a printing/converting plant with its prepress production systems, information can be instantly exchanged between the package-production management system and Management Information Systems. This enables greater visibility into the business and helps printers/converter fine-tune their back-office functions such as estimating, billing, inventory management, and scheduling, the company claims.
Amnon Shalev, segment marketing manager, Packaging, said, "During the nine years I spent in the packaging industry, promoting digital work-flow solutions, Labelexpo exhibitions were the highlights of my marketing activities. I am confident that also this year, Labelexpo Europe will provide Creo with a great opportunity to network as well as contribute our innovative solutions into the evolving narrow web printing industry."
