Confectionery show bookings underway

The organisers of Confectionery Manufacturing Expo have reported that they have already taken bookings from a series of global companies representing all parts of the chocolate, sugar and gum industry.
The show, which is taking place on 27-29 April 2004 in Wiesbaden, Germany, is the only pan-European major exhibition exclusively featuring suppliers to the confectionery industry.
The organisers say that so far the industry has shown significant support for the event, claiming that suppliers from throughout Europe and the United States have already booked a good proportion of the stands. So far the booking represent suppliers of ingredients, processing equipment, packaging and other related products and services.
Among those who have earmarked stands in the last few weeks are: The ZDS, The Central College of the German Confectionery Industry, the institute of training and continuous education for all areas of the confectionery industry; Amcor Flexibles, the global packaging giant and a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging in Europe; Symrise, one of the world's largest suppliers of flavours and fragrances and newly formed from the Haarman & Reimer and Dragoco merger. Symrise, which represents over 200 years experience in this industry, has taken one of the largest stands; MIPA, Luxembourg's only flex-pack converter specialising in rotogravure technology and Unigra Spa, the Italian-based oil and fat processor and producer of chocolate substitutes.

By the beginning of December an innovative programme of seminars/conferences will have been launched, details for which are expected to be announced in the next few weeks.
