Jetcirc Oven from APV

Bakery and snacks equipment provider APV Baker has improved and
expanded its range of ovens for the production of cookies,
biscuits, bar products and pet foods as well as a whole host of
traditional bakery products including tarts, cakes and pastries.
The new oven is proclaimed to reduce baking time by up to 30 per
cent, cut capital costs and be highly energy efficient.

"This is a decisive development in oven technology, and the result of several years research and development - the oven incorporates three patent-pending features," says APV Baker president David Marshall. "It allows bakers to maximise the benefits of other developments such as control software and vision system technology, and is a significant step towards precise analysis and regulation of the baking process."

The Jetcirc is believed to have numerable benefits. Firstly, its convection oven is deemed to be considerably more reliable, good news for bakers who are troubled by inconsistent airflows in their baking chambers. Secondly it offers bakers the choice of whether to increase output using a conventional footprint, or a much shorter oven that is considerably more compact and thus saves valuable floor space.

Two differing versions of the Jetcirc are available. An indirect convection version offers the fastest baking times and greatest efficiency whilst the direct re-circulating version combined with radiant and convection heating is available for the more traditional baker.

The Jetcirc automates what was formerly considered a 'black art' amongst bakers of trying to obtain a uniform flow of hot air onto the product, but this relied too heavily on the experience of the machine operator. The Jetcirc takes advantage of the latest control technology, with a single panel covering the entire oven. The Jetcirc, as the name suggests, quickly circulates a stream of hot air onto all products in the baking chamber, evenly, to produce matching and consistent results.

Although this new machine boasts various new technologies it still makes use of some of APV's previous generation oven facilities, namely from the popular '687' convection oven used in over 15 countries worldwide. The Jetcirc is available for consumer testing at the APV Baker Food Process Centre in Peterborough.
