German confectionery ingredients supplier Alfred L. Wolff is
preparing to focus on the launch of a new coating ingredient aimed
specifically at the chocolate and panned confectioneries sector for
CME 2004.

Quick Shine is said to provide unparalleled surface brilliance for chocolate and fat-coated dragee products. It is in particular the confectionery sector where visual impression is of the utmost importance and a good sheen is widely thought to stimulate the appetite.

ALW says it has spent a considerable time researching the product by devoting its attention to consumers' behaviour patterns towards confectionery and knowing what exactly it is that manufacturers want. Invariably, the company says, manufacturers are looking to obtain a perfect shine and surface cover for their chocolate and/or fat-coated dragees.

The company developed the new glazing and polishing agent for the specific function of making confectionery products look more appealing to the eye. The solution is said to be quick and easy to apply, with only a small dosage and short production time for the best results. Furthermore the company says that even in relative humidity of up to 60 per cent, the solution has proved to have a long lasting brilliance as well as an optimum stability over a long shelf life.

Quick Shine belongs to the company's line of confectionery conditioners, next to Quick Coat, Quick Acid, Quick Lac, Quick Glanz, Quick Oil and Quick Chewall of which have been developed in cooperation with Drouven & Fabry.

ALW is gearing up to show all its confectionery ingredients at the forthcoming CME 2004 show, to be held in Wiesbaden, Germany, 27-29 April.
