Labeling machine adapts to different cylinders
and round bottles at increased labeling speeds, says its designer.
The Inline series 6000 by Label-Aire is an open frame labelling system that can be fitted with wipe-on, air-blow, or tamp-blow applicators and can label packaging at speeds up to 1,200 inches per minute with varying adjustable frequencies.
Manufacturers looking to diversify their product lines are searching for machines that can easily adapt to different packaging solutions. By using machines with increased versatility and speed manufacturers can cut costs and production downtime.
The machine reduces the amount of labelling defects such as winkled labels by spinning round bottles against a pressure plate at the application point, said the company.
For oblong containers the machine uses a chain aligner to set containers up to be labelled at a predetermined point on its surface. The machine then spins the package for several revolutions again the pressure plate.
The machine comes equipped with aluminum or stainless steel side plates for easy wash down and ruggedness, said the company. The machine is also fitted with a customizable chain conveyor length between six and twelve feet with a width between 4.5 inches and 6 inches.
The Inline 6000 uses digital/PLC controls, single or dual feedscrews with soft start, powered or non-powered impressors for secondary wipe down, metering wheel to aid in product separation and automatic speed following for product surface profiling.
