To help new entrants to the confectionery business be more effective and successful, Cargill is holding a three-day instructional seminar.

The Chocolatier’s Workshop, which will be held in Lititz, Pa, on 9-11 November, is the fourth such seminar the company has organised.

“The Chocolatier’s Workshop focuses on the basics of building a successful confectionery business,” said Cargill marketing manager Courtney LeDrew. “This workshop is a great opportunity for confectioners and chocolatiers who have a passion for starting their own chocolate business.”

The workshop consists of two days in a classroom setting where participants will learn the fundamentals of starting a chocolate business from selecting a site and buying equipment to determining the product mix and marketing. The third day is then a hands-on candy-making and tempering session.

The Chocolatier's Workshop is limited to 10 participants who meet the workshop qualifications.
