Cama aims for machine that never stops

Automatic changeovers that reduce down-time will be the trend informing confectionery packaging machinery in 2012, according to Renato Dell’Oro of packaging technology firm Cama.

ConfectioneryNews.com caught up with Mr Dell’Oro, Cama executive marketing manager, on the show floor at ProSweets 2012 in Cologne, Germany.

He told this site that the aim for Cama’s R&D department this year would be to maximise efficiency by cutting changeover times with automated processes.

In this podcast he presents his company’s Cama line, a high-speed automatic line for flow wrapping bars using multiple robots.

He claims this system can maximise efficiency for manufacturers, reduce carbon footprint and provide a return on investment in a few years.
