CAOBISCO appoints Katjes Fassin CEO as new president

Tobias Bachmüller has been elected as the new president of the Association of Chocolate, Biscuit and Confectionery Industries (CAOBISCO).

Bachmüller, currently CEO of German firm Katjes Fassin, succeeds Didier Focking from Nestlé on a two-year mandate starting 22 June this year.

Bachmüller is a lawyer who began is food industry carrer in  1992 as director marketing chocolate for Kraft Foods, Bremen.

He left Kraft Foods in 1996 to join Katjes Fassin.

Bachmüller is also Vice-president of the Bundersverband der Deutschen Süßwarenindustrie (BDSI), the German Confectionery Association.

CAOBISCO also elected two new Vice-Presidents: Mr Patrick Poirrier, CEO of Cemoi Chocolatier and Alessandro Cagli, Director European Affairs, Ferrero.
