Confectionery coaters Capol to penetrate US through distribution deal

German confectionery coatings firm Capol will have increased presence in the United States after its private equity owner purchased a US distribution business.
Ingredients specialist Caragum International has said its coating system is a cost effective, rapid alternative to other colloids for confectionery and chewing gum.
German confectionery agents maker Kaul has been snapped up by private equity fund Riverside, which plans to speed international growth for its new ‘hidden champion’.
TIC Gums has developed a fast-drying shell coating system for chewing gum, confectionery and nuts, which it said was prompted by continued high demand and uncertain supply of gum arabic.
