MWV paperboard declared fit for EU confectionery packaging
MeadWestvaco (MWV) has obtained Robinson EN 1230-2 sensory analysis approval for its Printkote paperboard to be used to package chocolate and confectionery.

The analysis tested the packaging’s ability to preserve product quality without transmitting packaging odors to the product.

Printkote is a premium paperboard designed to package luxury confectionery products.

The company claims that it allows graphics to stand out without using optical brighteners.

MVW adds that the dead-fold of Printkote creates a squarer and tighter package.

Earlier this year, MVW received Robinson EN 1230-2 approval for its Crescendo paperboard to package chocolate and confectionery products.
