Swedish confectioner Cloetta has licensed Chewits branded gifting products in the UK to help it raise its brand profile.

Two firms, Kimm & Miller and Hachette Partworks, were sought out by licensing agency Beanstalk, to make Chewits branded gifts.

A spokesperson from Beanstalk told this site: “The kind of products covered by the gift deal will be seasonal food gifts such as money boxes, 3D mugs, pencil cases and Christmas stockings, all stuffed full with Chewits confectionery. “

Kimm & Miller will produce Chewit-filled gifts featuring images from classic adverts such as “Chewie the Chewitsaurus” ads from the 1970s.

Hollie Kozakiewicz, consumer marketing manager at Cloetta UK said the gift products tap into the current trend for nostalgia

Chewits gift products products will enter UK retail before Christmas 2013, ahead of a full roll-out in 2014.
