Nestlé has officially inaugurated its latest Chinese research and development facility, in Dongguan, Guangdong province.

Focusing on research in confectionery and ice cream, the new complex will support its three-year old partnership with Chinese confectionery manufacturer Hsu Fu Chi, and build on Nestlé’s global R&D strength in these segments to develop new products for Asian markets.

The new development facility will join two other Nestlé centres in China, which are located in Shanghai and Beijing. Each centre is focused on nutrition and health, targeting consumer needs and conducting research on products, development, innovation and renovation.
