Candyking loses out to Cloetta as Coop pick & mix supplier
The Swedish retailer chose not to renew a three-year deal with Candyking that comes to a close at the end of this year.
From 2015, Coop will stock a natural snacks pick & mix range from Cloetta.
Cloetta currently has no own pick & mix concept in Sweden, but has run one in Finland for many years.
Pick & mix is estimated to account for about 30% of the total volume in the Swedish confectionery market.
Candyking previously supplied 43,000 metric tons for Coop Sverige per annum, which accounted for 14% of its volumes.
