Ammeraal Beltech has received EC food contact approval for its AmDough rotary moulder belts.

The belts are in compliance with the EC Regulation 1935/2004 which covers general requirements for all food contact materials from packaging, processing machines, containers and dishes. They were already compliant under the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the US.

The conveyor belt specialist said the rotary moulder belts could extract any type of biscuit across a range of different belt layouts and widths – handling gluten-free, fat-free and fruit-containing products, among others.

It was the combination of hygiene and performance that held appeal for industry, said Giuseppe Allais, industry segment head for food at Ammeraal Beltech.

“AmDough endless woven splice-free construction and specially-designed selvedges guarantee continuous cookie extraction combined with food safety,” he said.
