WCF’s 26th Partnership Meeting & Cocoa Sustainability Trade Fair takes place between October 15-16 at the Confederation of Danish Industry in Copenhagen.
Representatives from Mars, Barry Callebaut and Mondelez will be among the 300 attendees at the 2-day event.
Day one of the Partnership Meeting includes discussions on defining sustainability, harmonizing standards and the future of certification. Speakers include Howard-Yana Shapiro, chief agricultural officer at Mars and Barry Callebaut’s vice president of cocoa sustainability Nicko Debenham.
If you are at the conference and have something to share, please don’t hesitate to email ConfectioneryNews’ Oliver Nieburg at firstname.lastname@example.org
The second day explores collective industry action through the WCF’s CocoaAction program and how progress can be measured. There will also be perspectives from others in cocoa value chain such as farmers, NGOs and retailers.
The full meeting agenda is available HERE.
The event also features a cocoa sustainability trade fair with exhibitors such as Cargill, Toms and the International Cocoa Initiative.
