Designs that maximize the ‘opening experience’ for consumers will be the key theme of rigid box specialist Pollard Boxes’ stand at Packaging Innovations 2016.

The company will display a range of designs that enable products to be revealed gradually, to create a sense of excitement and anticipation.

We have had many enquiries recently from companies who are seeking ways to make the most of the opening experience​,” said Ian Bason, sales and development manager, Pollard Boxes.

This is a major requirement for a gift pack but this type of packaging also provides reassurance of the appropriateness of their purchase to consumers buying products for themselves, and this is vital for internet sales​.”

The Pollard stand will feature a number of bespoke-designed packs for products including luxury chocolates. 

The company’s CAD team will also be displaying several concept formats to demonstrate the different ways the ‘reveal’ can be incorporated and how the use of various materials and printing technologies can maximize the effect.

Packaging Innovations is at Birmingham NEC, UK, from February 24-26.
