Luxury British chocolate brand Montezuma’s has secured distribution in over 300 Sainsbury’s stores across the UK.

Seven flavors of the brand will be sold in 377 outlets of Sainsbury’s, one of the UK’s top supermarkets, from February 8.

The supermarket chain will stock 100 g bars of Dark with Orange and Geranium, Very Dark 73%, Dark with Chilli, Spice it Up - Dark with Ginger, Sea Dog - Dark with Lime and Sea Salt, Minted - Milk with Mint and Milk with Chilli and Lime.

Montezuma’s brand manager Sarah Gainsborough said: “This arrangement is an opportunity for us to engage with as many people as we can on a scale bigger than we ever have before.”

Montezuma’s already has listings in Waitrose and at online retailer Ocado. Last year, it entered the US through a distribution deal with Trader Joe's.

The company was established in 2000 by Helen and Simon Pattinson from a single shop in Brighton, UK.
