Mondelēz International unveils chocolate chip Oreo with dual-flavor wafer

Available at retailers across the US from this month, Choco Chip Oreo has a suggested retail price of $4.49 for a 15.3-ounce pack, and features a “dual-flavored wafer – golden and chocolate – with chocolate chip crème inside".​

The variant was revealed at the Oreo Wonder Vault pop-up event in Los Angeles this week (picture below). 

The Wonder Vault concept, which debuted last January in New York, is designed to help Oreo fans immerse themselves in a virtual world of Oreo varieties.

Choco Chip is designed to deliver a feeling of home to consumers, said the manufacturer, and Oreo is running a contest that gives consumers the chance to win one of 250 cookie jars by tagging @oreo and using the hashtag #HomeAwayFromAway on social media.

Blueberry Pie and Fruity Crisp

The roll-out of Choco Chips follows the launch of Blueberry Pie and Fruity Crisp flavored Oreo varieties in May.

Last month, Mondelēz expanded the Oreo Thins line-up - originally launched in summer 2015 - with new flavors Lemon and Chocolate.
