The chocolate firm said the new product is designed for people to share with their families. The Oreo-flavored Milka eggs are individually wrapped with a “fluffy mousse center,” and retail for a £3.99 ($4.85) in all major supermarkets for a pack of four.
According to a Cadbury’s spokesperson, the new Milka eggs are part of the company’s Easter range this year, which also includes the existing Cadbury Dairy Milk Oreo Shell Egg and the Cadbury Dairy Milk Oreo Easter Egg sharing bag.
“We are always innovating our product ranges and there are lots of exciting things to come from the Cadbury brand this year and beyond,” the spokesperson said.
Building on the success of Cadbury Dairy Milk Oreo
"In the UK, Cadbury Dairy Milk Oreo has proven to be a highly successful line since launching five years ago," the spokesperson told ConfectioneryNews.
"The latest launch of the Cadbury Dairy Milk Egg ‘n’ Spoon Oreo builds on this success and the product aims to help drive incremental sales in the sharing sub segment."
Mondelēz held a 28% value share in the UK chocolate confectionery market in 2015, ahead of rival Mars, which held a 22% share, according to Euromonitor International figures.
