Incumbent editor Oliver Nieburg will join Lumina Intelligence, the new market insights service of ConfectioneryNews publisher William Reed, as a sustainability analyst from April 1, 2018.
Lumina will launch a platform dedicated to sustainability later this year. The service will provide the food industry, governments, trade bodies and NGOs, an intelligence tool to track company commitments, trends and the latest scientific research in commodities such as cocoa, coffee and tea at launch
Nieburg will work closely with the new ConfectioneryNews editor and will remain a contributor to the website.
ConfectioneryNews is seeking a trained and experienced multimedia journalist for his replacement, ideally with a knowledge of the chocolate, cocoa or sugar confectionery industries.
The role is based at William Reed’s global headquarters in Crawley, UK or at our French office in Montpellier, France. William Reed is open to other locations or remote work only for outstanding candidates.
‘Complex industry’
“There’s ample opportunity to interview food industry executives and to travel the world attending conferences, trade shows and press trips,” said Nieburg.
“From the fractured world of cocoa, the financials of multibillion-dollar corporations, the growing craft chocolate movement and the sugar-health debate, you’ll be writing about a compelling and complex industry.”
The new editor will research and deliver daily content, edit the website and manage our social media channels.
The successful candidate will also moderate panel discussions online and at leading industry events.
