Mars Wrigley Confectionery names new president to lead Chicago-based global headquarters

The announcement came when the M&M maker’s current president Martin Radvan decided to retire after a 32-year career with the company, during which he led the integration of the Mars Chocolate and Wrigley segments into Mars Wrigley Confectionery. Clarke, who joined Mars in the UK in 2000 as category leadership director for Mars Chocolate, will be based at the company’s global headquarters in Chicago, assuming his new position in September this year. From 2011 to 2014, Clarke also led geographic operations at country level in the UK and Ireland, and he was the regional president for Mars Wrigley’s pet care division in Latin America. Grant Reid, CEO of Mars Incorporated, said, “Andrew is the right person to lead Mars Wrigley Confectionery into its next chapter. His track record for driving ambitious change while delivering results is the fuel our business needs to thrive in an ever changing consumer and retail landscape. “Andrew brings great global perspective, combined with a principled approach to leadership and passion for engaging and inspiring teams,” he said.
