Jan Schoemaker changes its name and logo to mark a new era for independent cocoa processor.

Dutch independent cocoa producer Jan Schoemaker has announced it is changing its name to JS Cocoa and updating its logo after a recent management buyout.

In September 2017, Daan Reitsma (managing director), Paul Silva da Cruz (financial director) and Pieter Schulting (commercial director) acquired 100% of the shares in Jan Schoemaker and became its new owners.

The new board of directors has introduced the new trade name and updated the company logo to make it more recognizable on the international stage, where the company has had a presence since 1923 as an independent and specialized cocoa producer.

JS Cocoa employs more than 100 people in the Netherlands and Ghana and claims to be the last 100% Dutch-owned cocoa processor.
