SweeTARTS has announced a competition to find the next Gummy shape in conjunction with its latest launch of gummies shaped as a turntable, VR (Virtual Reality) headset and rocket ship.

The SweeTARTS Sour Gummies and Gummies will be sold across the US in stores including Target, Walmart, Kroger, Publix, and Meijer, in 4oz Share Pack ($1.69 SRP), 5.25oz Medium Peg ($1.99 SRP) and 10oz Stand Up Bag ($2.89 SRP).

Consumers can enter the “Search for the Next Gummy Shape” contest until July 22, with the winner claiming a year’s supply of gummies or the chance to win $10k, or one of over 100 daily prizes, in the “Shape Your Passion” sweepstakes.

The winner will also get to see their shape appear in a future bag of SweeTARTS Gummies. Designs can be submitted here.

Benjamin Jones, marketing associate, SweeTARTS, said it launched its Sour Gummies and Gummies range after surveying more than 1,000 college students, where it found more than 76% prefer gummy candies over chewy, hard or licorice candy formats.

He said in addition to submitting their favorite shape ideas, consumers have the chance to win cash prizes by answer a ‘challenge question’, and uploading a photo using gummy-shaped pieces onto Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #ShapeYourPassionSweepstakes until August 20.

According to the HuffingtonPost some of the weirdest gummy shapes ever invented include: replica teeth, pizza slices, sweet mice, green army figurines, Mustache Candies, fried eggs, chicken feet, Centipedes, Boogers and ear wax.
